Early morning was always my favorite time of day to explore the markets of Kathmandu. There was an underlying peacefulness and hopefulness in the activites of transporting the goods, setting up open air stalls, plus the associated sounds and smells and early morning fog. This vendor was massaging his own feet at the moment he spied his first customers.
